The best option is to join AMC's rewards program, and earn points toward free movie tickets. You should also check the "special offers" page on AMC's site (http://www.amcentertainment.com/programs…) before heading out to the movies- usually their deals are things like free drinks, but occasionally there's a heftier deal.

You can also purchase a discounted AMC gift card on http://www.giftcards.com), and use that!

I would also recommend going to Costco (Sam's club might have it as well). They sell discounted AMC tickets.
