Does anyone else think it's ridiculous that after all these years, Microsoft still charges a small fortune for its Office suite?
I'm referring to Office 2010 Home and Business, which has a list price of $199.99. That nets you a license for one PC; if you want to run it on a second system, tack on another $80.

They say nothing is sure in life but death and taxes, and one of those is right around the corner! At our house, we wait
until the last minute to file. We hate taking the time to do them, but it has
to be done or Uncle Sam will come knocking. Fortunately, you don't have to worry
about paying for your Federal return!

This week there are a few beauty samples that are up grabs. You can get yourself
some body lotions, beauty creams, shampoo & conditioners and toothpaste! There isn't anything worse
than buying a product only to discover it doesn't work as well as the ad claims. Now you
get to try something before you spend boat loads of cash to purchase the product. Another
great use for these samples is to use them when your traveling. Sample sizes aren't as heavy
as full size bottles and after you use it, you throw the package away or recycle it. It's a great
way to lighten up your luggage!

Everyone knows how convenient warehouse stores can be. You go in and buy a gallon container of
mayonnaise and your set for a year. Not to mention their prices for gas are usually cheaper than
your local gas station. The only problem with them is the cost to join, it seems to get
more and more expensive.

New Year's Eve is Saturday night and few companies offer to get you home safely

Waukesha Metro Transit will offer free bus rides New Years Eve. Rides
will run from 8 p.m.
to 4 a.m. in Milwaukee and 7 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. in Waukesha. MillerCoors

state's
Plan Ahead program.
Anheuser-Busch also offers safe passage home via their
Budweiser Alert Cab program.
The program is made possible through a partnership among local

Freebies
I am tired of Christmas already and it isn't even here yet. I've posted a lot of
Christmas freebies in my last
three articles for Savings.com. This week I just need to step away from Christmas for a bit.
This freebie list doesn't contain anything that has to do with Christmas. It's from the miscellaneous category
on my blog. It's a little of this and that.
Costco has a few freebies on their site, make sure you have your membership number ready so you can get them. Snatch up some
beauty products, it's the best way to try something before you buy it. Rosetta Stone offers a sample DVD for you
to try so you can make sure you really do want to learn that second language. When you're done getting those
freebies, get the free Redbox rental code so you can sit back and relax!

The free stuff keeps coming this Christmas! My favorite from the list this week is the free video that is emailed from Santa to your child. You get to enter their name, upload a photo, and pick all the good deeds they have done through out the year. Then they get all put together in your video from Santa.
Amazon is giving away free Christmas music downloads everyday until 12/25. If you prefer, 'A Christmas Carol' is free to download. There are a couple of new craft e-books this week if you're looking to create the perfect gift.

There are only few weeks until Christmas is officially here. If you're looking to keep the
kids busy while you do some baking or decorate the house, this list will help.
There are plenty of easy printables and crafts even for the younger kids. They can
color and assemble a printable Christmas tree that can be used as an Advent Calendar.
Parents can print out some Christmas cards for the kids to color so they can
mail the cards to their grandparents. There are ginger bread house templates
and recipes you can make, kids of all ages like doing this.
My favorite is in the "10 Easy Christmas Crafts for Kids." It's the Elf Candy Cane Holder. It's too cute!

Holidays
It's almost that time of year where adults turn into Santa and small children get so excited they
drive everyone around them crazy. There are some freebies out there already to help make the
season less expensive.
The kids can have a great time with free crafts and games at
Bass Pro
Shops then get a free picture with Santa before you leave. There are two ways to send a letter
to Santa--that's right, it looks like Santa has an email address. The kids will love the free printables
they can color to help decorate the house.
JCPenney is offering a free snow globe to customers
on Black Friday--make sure you get there early, these go quickly!
