Gals just love their clothes and their makeup. While some budget-conscious women may have succeeded in keeping their clothes and makeup spending to a minimum, other ladies tend to blow their cash on impulse spending sprees.

I "splurged" on my fitness expenditures and joined a gym this week. I have been meaning to do it for six weeks now and I finally braved the nearby 24-Hour Fitness (
interestingly enough, just like every other 24-Hour Fitness I've ever seen, not open 24 hours a day...). My first workout was fabulous, but when I saw the personal trainers leading their clients around and encouraging them to "
Keep moving!," I wondered whether that would be something I could afford. To put it simply--I
can't. I did the next best thing: I searched Google for free online personal training.
I found two worthwhile (
and free!) sites that come recommended from me--plus a third that costs money--but far less than an actual personal trainer.

Have you ever purchased a product and found out that you paid too much later? One of the worst feelings that you can have in shopping is finding out that you overpaid for something. Nobody wants to be taken advantage of when shopping. Getting a great deal on a product involves buying it at the right time and for the right price. This may require you to have the patience to defer a purchase until it falls into bargain territory.
Today, I want to take a look at three items that you can get for much cheaper over the next few months.

Most of the household items I buy are generic or store brands. Whether it's medication or milk, laundry detergent or toilet paper (
as long as it's two-ply), I'm going the cheapest route possible. With that said, there are some items I just can't bring myself to cheap out on--mostly due to quality issues that seem to be universally present in certain low-cost products. I don't think I'm alone in my desire for quality products that also offer savings; if that were the case,
coupons would be a lot less popular!

If time equals money, then 17 year-old Glendora teen Steven Ortiz--who bartered his way up to a Porsche--earned close to minimum wage for his daily efforts. He started two years ago with an old cell phone and recently traded down for his latest swap, a 2000 Boxster valued at $9k.

"Who is Salt?" One look at the poster for
Salt, an action blockbuster slated to open July 23rd, and anyone could tell you that the answer involves Angelina Jolie. Clearly, Angelina Jolie is Evelyn Salt, an ass-kicking CIA agent gone rogue. Which is another way of saying
Salt is essentially Angelina Jolie as Jason Bourne. Or come to think of it, James Bond--which is actually how Evelyn, rather than Edwin Salt, came to theaters.

Getting into gardening for the first time can be a little daunting. It's not just a green thumb challenge; it's also a financial one. There are seeds to buy, pots for seed starting, fertilizers, and gardening tools to buy. But if you take your time to get what you need this year, you may be running a "dirt cheap" garden next year.

I believe that we are trained to believe that because something costs more money, it has to work better. While that may be true for a few things in life (
feminine products, peanut butter and toilet paper), for me there are also appliances in life which don't follow this rule - like the electric toothbrush. In my almost 30 years, I have tried many different electric toothbrushes and I stand by my statement that a low-priced manual toothbrush works better and saves money.

It seems like the past two weeks the entire United States has experienced a heat wave. Running the air conditioner at full blast is neither frugal or green. At our house, we adapt to the heat and do many different things to save money and reduce our carbon footprint. One of the most interesting things we do to save money and go green is to sleep naked! Not only can it be more fun and exciting than sleeping with clothes on, but it also saves us money.
How can sleeping naked save you money?

There are many schools of thought on the best
ways to be frugal. The average frugal shopper probably only hopes to never pay full price for anything, choosing to browse sales racks or use an occasional coupon to purchase new items without making plans to save money. More dedicated savers clip, collect, and organize coupons, combine them with sales and maybe even search out a rebate to ensure they've gotten the best deal.
If you want to be a radical saver, though, you might go a step further by purchasing used items whenever possible. Money saved by seeking out only used items can be dramatic.
