The holiday shopping rush has resulted in a glut of special
promotional offers, the most popular being for free shipping.
For sites that have always included free shipping in their business
model, it is expected that there is a price to pay for the perk:
slower shipping times, minimum orders requirements, or even higher
prices. For those sites that are unveiling special free
shipping plans just in time for Christmas, however, the benefits
are a bit murkier.
Here are the best tips for making sure that free shipping isn't a
ploy to get even more of your hard-earned cash.

Just one look at Elle Macpherson at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and it's clear that this winter it is possible to look fashionable and stay warm with a hat. Gone are winters where you can only bundle up in ski caps to ward off chill--this winter is about chic chapeaus that also keep you cozy when the weather is frightful.

The time has come to say goodbye to the "Desperate Housewives." Celebrate their final year of drama, murder and suspense for the crazy, dysfunctional and, at times, murderous suburban housewives of Wisteria Lane. What gift would be a proper send-off for these sexy, vulnerable, fierce and scandalous women?
Only one goodbye gift will do--diamonds. A good place to look for a beautiful diamond jewelry present under $200 would be
Zales.

I'm usually appalled when my mother asks for detailed Christmas lists for each member of our family in October. "Really?!" I want to scream, "
I haven't even got the last stitches in the Halloween costumes, and you want Christmas lists?" Instead, I smile and politely oblige, having no other choice if I want to keep peace in the family.
This year, however, after spending several days compiling these lists (
after all, I don't want my children getting toys they have no interest in, or worse yet, socks, for Christmas), I had an epiphany: I could get my shopping done in November, save some much cherished cash, and enjoy the entire month of December by baking, playing with my family, and not stressing about shopping!
No, I haven't thanked my dear mother, but I did learn some interesting information about the best things to buy, and not to buy, in November.

If you have $200 in your pocket and a tablet on your mind, you've probably been eyeballing the
Amazon Kindle Fire. And with good cause: it's a sexy little number.
But, wait, what's this? RIM's
BlackBerry PlayBook is now selling for $199.99 at stores like
Best Buy? And, hold on, Lenovo's new
IdeaPad A1 is also priced at $199.99. Now what?

This week, a photo of Gemma Ward on the set of the filming for
The Great Gatsby was leaked onto a
Tumblr blog and now the fashion world is all in a-twitter. The Roaring '20s trend has been hot this year with flapper-inspired frocks that walked down the runways of
Ralph Lauren, Alberta Ferretti,
Sonia Rykiel and
Gucci, and even inspiring Kate Moss' dreamlike wedding. This trend isn't going anywhere any time soon. It's infusing trends in beauty, shoes, hair and apparel for day as well as evening.
No need to wait until the movie's release in December 2012 to hop on this trend, it is an easy one to recreate, and a great way to glam up for the holidays.
Here are some tips on how to get the look of the Jazz Age without having to pay for a runway frock.

First off, what does "the right turkey" mean? For some of us, it means taste. We want the juiciest, most delicious bird out there. For others, we have moral/religious/philosophical desires for how the bird was cared for and killed. And still others simply want the lightest impact on their wallet. None of these desires is inherently right or wrong, but you should know what you're getting into with each kind of bird.

Once upon a time in the small town of Storybrooke, the daughter of Snow White drove around in a yellow beat-up Volkswagen Beetle. Wait what, put the brakes on here, rewind. What was that, Snow White's daughter? Yes, it is true. Emma Snow dragged into this twisted little town by Henry, the son she gave up for adoption. Whoa, Snow White had a grandson. Shut the front door! Take a breath, take a moment, you will catch up.
It gets better. Emma is Storybrooke's only chance to restore a happily-ever-after ending for all of the fairytale residents. If Emma battles the Evil Queen who placed the curse, then she will do it in style. Emma loves to wear leather jackets.

I love the chilly air of Fall and Winter, but I hate what it does to my skin and hair. Now that weather is cooling down, I'm starting to notice some scaly, dry patches on my skin. Ugh!
As the seasons change, so should your beauty routine (
put away the lightweight moisturizers). I went on a hunt for some of the new beauty products out there that would combat the dreadful winter weather in the coming months.
These are some I found for a great price:

Don't get me wrong.. I love the holidays just as much as the next
guy, but every single year it seems to get harder for me to find
new gift ideas for my family and friends. I don't want to be
that guy who always gifts the same things year in and year out so
I've tried coming up with a couple of ways to brainstorm new gift
ideas without really hurting my wallet.
So, without further ado, here are a couple of ways to brainstorm
gift ideas this holiday season:
