Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo likes to quote lines from movies. Tony is a true blue movie fan. You will find him at the cinema with a box of popcorn and nachos nestled in his seat. Oh, he won't have a date. You see, it's been a hard year for Tony in the romance department. But that won't keep him from the cinema.
If you missed 2011's highest grossing movies in the USA you can rent them through
Netflix.
1.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II ($381,011,219)
Enjoy the epic finale of the most successful movie franchise of all time. It's an all-out-war between good wizards and evil wizards. Harry Potter must make the ultimate sacrifice and face Lord Voldermort in order to save the world of wizardry.
2.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon ($352,390,543)
Decepticons ready for payback on Optimus Prime and the Autobots. The key lies in the past when Apollo 11 landed on the Moon.
3.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1 ($275,445,000)
Tony is such a macho NCIS agent he would never admit he saw a Twilight movie (
betcha he's seen them all). Bella and Edward finally tie the knot. Bella gets pregnant and that's when things get interesting and dangerous.
4.
The Hangover Part II ($254,464,305)
Three guys who like to drink fly to Thailand for a wedding. What could possibly go wrong? Definitely a guy's flick. NCIS agent Tony won't tell us how many times he's seen this movie (hmm).
5.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides ($241,071,802)
Captain Jack Sparrow crosses path with a mysterious woman named Angelica. She leads him to the Fountain of Youth but Jack's unsure if she is friend or foe. Tony loves sword fights and this movie is action-packed with excitement.
6.
Fast Five ($209,837,675)
Brian and Mia break Dom out of prison. They rendezvous in Brazil to pull one last job to gain their freedom before a federal agent finds them and puts them all in jail. Fast cars, bank heist, gorgeous women--ingredients for an uber fun flick.
7.
Cars 2 ($191,452,396)
Lighting McQueen back to prove he is the fastest car in the world. Mater, his best friend however gets tangled in a spy game. This is the only animated film that made the list for highest grossing movies of 2011.
8.
Thor ($181,030,624)
Mighty God of thunder Thor banished to live among humans by his father to learn a lesson in humility. Another comic book-based movie that guarantees action!
9.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes ($176,711,822)
Scientists conduct genetic research on apes. One ape, Caesar however evolves way beyond any expectation. Visual effects are amazing as the apes appear life-like.
10.
Captain America: The First Avenger ($176,654,505)
Steve Rogers volunteers for a secret experiment during World War II. He is transformed into a superhero named Captain America.
These were the highest grossing films in America for 2011. Which ones did you watch? Which was your favorite?
