This year, I decided to make Easter baskets for a few kids. I had everything I needed but the chocolate. I don’t want to give the kids the usual candy bars made from fillers, trans fats and preservatives, so I’ve been on the hunt for some organic chocolate bars. I found a few options at my local grocery store, but they were too expensive. Even with Easter right around the corner, the organic chocolate I found was still going for $6.00 a bar. So I went online – where I found a few great tasting (and cheaper) options for organic chocolate. Here are the best:

Dagoba Chocolates

Dagoba Chocolates sells a variety of chocolate bars, baking products and drinking chocolate. The company uses organic ingredients to blend their chocolate creations.

Dagoba Chocolates

Dagoba Chocolates sells a variety of chocolate bars, baking products and drinking chocolate. The company uses organic ingredients to blend their chocolate creations. I loved the “Chai Bar,” which had a hint of Chai tea flavoring and some mild spice.
Dagoba Chocolate bars retail for $3.45
Sjaack’s Organic Chocolates
Sjaack’s Organic Chocolates offers more traditional chocolate bars and confections. The company sells individual bars, box sets and seasonal items. For every type of chocolate they sell, the company has both organic and vegan options. Both the organic and vegan products use free-trade, all-natural ingredients.
Sjaack’s sells chocolates by the piece for $.65 to $.75 each.
Endangered Species Chocolates
Endangered Species Chocolates is organic chocolate with a purpose. The site has the largest variety of chocolate bars, box sets and other candies that I found. The chocolates come from organic ingredients made by companies that believe in fair-trade practices. And the best part — every year, the company donates 10 percent of their net profits to humanitarian charities. So you can give a little back to the world while you buy chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate.
Endangered Species Chocolates sells organic chocolate bars for $3.89 each.

I like the last one. Going to bookmark it. Thanks for the tip. Don’t get good chocolates around here where I live, so this might be a cool stocking stuffer for me.
