The holidays are a great time to break out of your normal routine and glam up your look. But with all the new beauty trends and the hustle n bustle, it may be tough to figure out where to even start.

If you want to look a little extra festive for all your holiday events, try one or two of these quick and easy beauty tips:

  • Stand-Out Lips -- Bright red lipstick are usually a must for the holidays. Instead, make a statement with a bold fuchsia or pink. If that's not really the color for you, try a nude lipstick with a shimmery gold gloss over it for something a little more subtle.
  • False Lashes -- I'll admit, I almost never hit the town without a fabulous pair of false lashes. They are a great way to instantly add glamour to your eyes and make them stand out a little more especially in photographs. There are tons of different styles so make sure you pick ones that are best for you and the occasion.
  • Glossy Eyelids -- Ditch the all too common smoky metallic eyes and add a little flair with some glossy lids. After you put on your desired eye makeup, apply a little bit of gloss or petroleum jelly on the center of your eyelids. It gives you a nice illuminating look and only takes a few seconds.
  • Colored Eye Liner -- I'm not really one to wear colored eye liner but it may be fun to try for ringing in the New Year. Not sure how? Check out some of these ways on how to can wear colored eye liner if it's your first time. L'Oreal Hip carries some bold, metallic colors that are inexpensive. Tone down blush and lips if you choose to do this.
  • Body Shimmer -- Get a full body glow with some baby oil then dusting on some shimmery body powder. If this is too much, just lightly apply shimmer powder alone where the skin is exposed.
  • Nail Polish Strips -- Try one of the exciting new holiday nail polish strips from Sally Hansen's Salon Effects. You just simply peel it and press it on your nails. It's perfect for when you're in a rush and don't have time to wait for nail polish to dry. You just put them on, file the edges, and go. They're also great if you are traveling for the holidays and don't want to carry liquid nail polish.
  • Hair Accessories -- Adding a fancy bobby pin, clip or head band instantly dresses up your look no matter what your 'do is. Try wearing a head band with jewels, or clipping a floral bobby pin on the side of your head.
