Product Review
When I was asked to test and review some skincare products from Elemis courtesy of generous folks at
Time to Spa, I jumped at the opportunity. Free beauty products to try? Yes, please. They sent over a set of four products to try all tucked into a cute silver bag.
Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Gel Mask ($75): Wow, this mask was tingly! The directions stated there would be a
"powerful tingling sensation" and they weren't kidding. I put it on for ten minutes and let the gel mask dry. It's easy to apply with a light fruity scent. After ten minutes, I washed it off with warm water and guess what? The tingly sensation persisted. It's kind of a minty, refreshing feeling so I don't really mind. And, my skin is super soft and smooth. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Wash ($47): This anti-aging cleanser is quite powerful as well. I used it nightly for a week and have seen a tiny improvement in the radiance of my skin. It has a light peachy scent and comes out as a creamy cleanser. I do notice that my skin gets flaky from usage so make sure you use moisturizer after cleaning. Supposedly, the wash
"stimulates the skin's natural cell cell renewal cycle" so let's hope my skin gets glowing soon! 4 out of 5 stars.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream ($124): Another anti-aging product in this pack.
(Damn, I must be getting old...) I liked the cream and applied it after washing my face with the resurfacing wash at night. But, I didn't really see a difference and I also could have done without the strong fragrance. It's formulated to
"improve suppleness, firmness and elasticity" and the only thing I noticed was waking up to soft and smooth skin. Not a bad cream, but I can't really recommend it. 3 out of 5 stars.
Elemis Exotic Lime & Ginger Hand & Body Lotion ($40): If you love feeling like you're in a tropical paradise, this lotion is for you. I didn't use it on my body since I have sensitive skin but it made my hands smell like fresh lime and ginger. I didn't find it to be very moisturizing though. Best thing about this lotion is its
"uplifting and fresh scent" which lasted a while. 3 out of 5 stars.
Overall, Elemis makes quality products that are worth the price. I'm happy I got to try some of them and my favorite out of the four is the tingly gel mask. The tingle is something I can really appreciate.
Thanks again
