This month, Clinique unveiled a cutting-edge addition to its Repairwear line: Laser Focus Wrinkle and UV Damage Corrector. Described as a "de-ageing serum" it claims to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles and repairs and helps prevent UV damage, with results close to a laser treatment you can get from a dermatologist retailing at $44.50.

Thanks to our friends at Clinique, I was provided with a sample to try out for a couple weeks.

Clinique claims that, "In 4 weeks, see obvious reduction in lines, wrinkles, improved texture. At 12 weeks, the visible wrinkle-reducing power is remarkably close to a dermatological laser procedure. 63%, to be exact…"

Cinique Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle & UV Damage Corrector is formulated to fight against free radicals--one of the biggest causes of aging--and smooth wrinkles to protect skin from future damage. The product formula includes vitamins A, C, E, additional antioxidants, pomegranate extract, and hexapeptides that protect, and stimulate collagen on a cellular level. Given its preventative and corrective qualities you can use it at any age and on all skin types.

Some key ingredients: Punica Granatum (pomegranate), known for its high levels of Vitamin C and antioxidants which help prevent cell damage and repair aging skin. Another is retinyl palmitate, a whey protein, which plumps the skin and increases collagen production. Sodium hyaluronate hydrates the skin resulting in decreased wrinkles and an all-around fuller appearance.

I am in my mid-twenties and although I'd like to think that I have near flawless skin (no signs of aging…yet?), I have noticed some smile lines and minor under eye wrinkles. I have been using this product for less than two weeks and had already seen some improvements. I know that it takes longer to see more noticeable results, but at this point I am pretty pleased. My skin does feel firmer and the lines around my eyes are a bit smoother. The formula is non-greasy and doesn't feel sticky on your face--which is a big plus.

The directions are pretty simple: Apply 3 to 4 drops twice a day to face and around eyes. I'd recommend using an SPF 25+ moisturizer about 20 minutes after applying it for increased protection against the sun.

So, for those of you who think laser treatments are out of your budget, or just aren't crazy about the idea of lasering in general, this product sounds like a very promising solution to reduce sun damage and achieve more radiant skin.
