With Valentine's Day approaching, I know a lot of you video game nerds
are worried about having a night where you aren't allowed to play
Modern Warfare 2. Even if your significant other is into video games,
bragging over your headset about how you just sniped joeSchmoe2453
isn't exactly romantic.
Don't worry, all hope is not lost. There are
a few games you can enjoy together:
Your best bet for having a good Valentine's Day while playing video games is Wii Sports. It's easy to pick up and is loads of fun to play with others. If your significant other has never played any video games, it's a great introduction.
Coming in a close second is Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Both games are really easy for first time users and everybody seems to enjoy them. What's more seductive than playing "Sweet Child of Mine" with your girlfriend/boyfriend? I know, most other things--but I'm trying to give you an excuse to play video games on Valentine's Day. Give me a break.
LittleBigPlanet is another game you can both enjoy. If neither of you have ever played it then you're going to have no idea what's going on. But that's not the point. The point is that you're going to have fun figuring it out together.
Don't have a console at home? Don't worry. Before leaving the theater after that "great" romantic comedy you just "enjoyed," you can check out the arcade while discussing how that movie melted your hearts. Sure it's 25 cents, but it's Valentine's Day. Splurge a little.
Hopefully you're not addicted to video games enough that you'll spend the whole day glued to the screen playing Modern Warfare 2 or else you're going to wake up single (I can almost guarantee it). And hopefully some of these tips will give you some ideas of how to incorporate games into your V-day plans if that's what you wanted.
