From New York to L.A., it's the coast-to-coast version of your favorite video game knuckleheaded duo. That's right, it's the Guy and Yasar show. I'm live from New York City, my hometown and stomping grounds, while Yasar is holding down the fort in L.A. Before we jump online for a little bi-coastal gaming via Modern Warfare 2, we thought we'd talk about the annual gamer holiday that gets fanboys excited and wallets burning.

That's right, it's Christmas in June time again as E3 is just a mere two weeks away.

Guy: According to the official E3 website, this year's Electronics Entertainment Expo is set to run from June 15th through June 17th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The gaming press from across the globe will be converging on the Expo to see the latest and greatest in video games and tech. Among the most anticipated expected reveals is a set price point, options, and full demo and renaming of Microsoft's Project Natal (the codename for their motion control extension for the Xbox 360).

Also expect extravagant press conference/media events from the big three. The hype machines will be rolling in full-force during Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony's big media events scheduled for the first two days. Speaking of Nintendo, there are rumors abounding about a huge reveal scheduled for the conference. Could it be Wii2 or something else completely unexpected?

Yasar: Blah blah blah blah blah.  It's like that guy never stop talking.  Anyway, I'm excited about E3 for one thing: new games.  E3 is where Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo are all going to try to one-up each other with the sweetest new games.  "What games?," you ask.

Here's my top three list for games that are confirmed at E3:

  1. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: This game should be awesome since it's been a while since there has been a new installment in the Castlevania series--especially if the Castlevania trailer from last E3 is any indication. Hopefully this time we'll see some gameplay and get a release date this round.

  2. LittleBigPlanet: It may be surprising to some that LittleBigPlanet is getting a sequel since the first one essentially has infinite replay value with user crated levels.  Sony promises to have a more powerful level creator where they claim you can make any type of game you want.  It should be interesting to see if they have some examples of this at E3.

  3. Gears of War 3: Microsoft released a very short teaser trailer for this game a little while back.  There hasn't really been any big news since then.  It's supposed to be the the last installment of the series and I'm sure Microsoft is going to try to wow people with whatever they bring for the game.
That wraps up my top three.  There are tons of other great games that are already confirmed and I'm sure a bunch more that I'm sure will be announced in the upcoming days and during the actual E3 conference.  Now back to Guy.

Guy: So that's it for this week. Be sure to check back in next Thursday as we continue the East Coast-West Coast war of words. In the meantime, follow all of our video game tweets and tech-related postings on Twitter @SavingsGCapes and @YasarSavings.
