Free Hot Samples: Labor Day 2011 Freebies

This is it, your last chance to enjoy summer. Kids are going back to school and the holidays will be here before you know it. Who really wants to start thing about that?

In honor of our last three-day weekend of summer, here are a few freebies. If you aren’t heading out for a weekend get-a-way, you can go to Bass Pro Shops for some free family activities that look like a good time. You can search Ancestry.com for free over the weekend and see where your family tree takes you. If you’re doing a little shopping and hitting all the Labor Day sales, stop at IKEA–kids get a free meal all weekend!
Free Family Activities at Bass Pro Shops on September 3rd – 4th and September 10th – 11th. Remote Control Car Course, Bean Bag Toss and Tire Roll. There are craft events too for the same dates: Patriotic Bug Craft, Patriotic Sun Visor. Follow the link for more information.

Free American Flag Decals, offer from USA Traffic Signs. You have to make your request by mail and include a self-addressed stamped envelope for them to send your stickers in. I received this freebie a while back, they get the stickers out to you quickly. 10 stickers in 3 different sizes.

Ancestry.com is offering free access until September 5th. You may have to provide a credit card number while creating your account. It’s a great chance to try it before you buy.

Apples 4 The Teacher has Labor Day printables including coloring and word puzzles.

Some Applebee’s are having a special for kids over the weekend. The offer for your area may vary. Some are offering 99 cent kids meals all weekend (starting Saturday). Call your local Applebee’s to see if they are participating.

Kids eat free at IKEA this weekend. Sept. 3-5. Kids under 12, child must be present. No purchase necessary.

    I wish I could trace my ancestry, that would be cool. Mother’s parents from Mexico and father’s from Spain. It sort of stops there. You can always go to a park on Labor Day or beach, the food a plenty because people are in such a good mood they share their bbq’s. Thank God we live in a free country!
