Veterans Day is November 11th and as a thank you to Veterans several businesses are offering
freebies or great deals. This year you can get a free night at a Bed & Breakfast and a few free meals.
If you're looking for a fun weekend, you can get free entry to Colonial Williamsburg for you and your dependents.
Free tickets are available for concert, sporting events and more, all you have to sign up!
If anyone reading this
has tickets you aren't going to use, you can donate them! National Parks have a free weekend if anyone wants
to do some camping. I recommend making sure you have your military ID on you when getting the freebies and deals below. None say they require it, but you may be asked to produce the ID.
If you're a veteran, a big hug to you from me in Seattle!
Get a free night (
11/10 only) at a participating
Bed & Breakfast. Most B&B's participating offer one or
two rooms for the free night so make your reservations.
Veterans can get in free to events--and not just on Veterans Day! Baseball games, concerts, every event you can
think of. All tickets are donated then distributed. You can sign up for a
free account to get tickets.
If you have tickets to an event you aren't going to use, you can donate them here. Offer through the
Veteran Ticket Foundation.
Golden Corral Restaurants are offering a free '
Military Thank You Dinner' on Monday November 14th.
Applebee's is giving veterans a
free Signature Entree on Friday November 11th.
Outback Steakhouse is honoring vets with a
free Bloomin' Onion and Coca-Cola on November 7th - 11th.
Free admission to Colonial Williamsburg November 11 - 14. Includes free weekend-long admission tickets
to active-duty military, reservists, retirees, veterans and their immediate dependents.
Free entry to National Parks November 11th - 13th.
Free canes for veterans who need them from
Sam's Club November 9th, 10th and 11th.
A way for you to help: Did you know that commissaries allow military families stationed overseas to use coupons six
months after their expiration date? It's true!
Coups for Troops will send your expired coupons to families stationed overseas.
I mail mine one a month (
I usually need two stamps on my envelope). Coupons must be cut and only
manufacturer coupons are accepted. No store coupons (
for example: Target, Walgreens, etc.). Visit
Coups for Troops for more info.
Mail your expired (
or unexpired) coupons to:
