Last week, we had two Limoges gift bags to giveaway, each filled with a mix of jewelry- including a genuine 1/2 carat diamond tennis bracelet. Since these swag bags are valued at $200 each, we expected quite a few entries. Thank you to everyone who commented on our blog post and over on our Facebook page and told us why they wanted to win.

Congratulations to Savings.com user lindilala and PinkySade who said, “I would love to win this for my mom!”. I’ve sent you each an email with instructions on how to claim your prize. If for some reason it doesn’t reach you, send me an email at social@savings.com before the end of the day on Tuesday, May 8th or another winner will be chosen.

Mother’s Day is only a week away, so if you haven’t spent time thinking of what to buy Mom, we’ll save you the headache of flipping through websites and catalogs (kidding… do people still get catalogs in the mail?)

Did you watch it? This week, we have a gorgeous Ultimate Elegance bouquet, courtesy of our friends over at 1800Flowers, valued at $129.99. Filled with majestic lavender and white blooms, this arrangement is sure to make her smile. Roses, lilies and other fresh blossoms are arranged in a sleek glass vase. So even if you’re not able to spend time with your Mom next Sunday, you can show her that you care.

If you’d like to win, tell us what makes your Mom amazing. Leave us a comment below or over at our Facebook page. We’ll choose an inspiring story and pick a winner Tuesday, so that the flowers can be delivered just in time for Mother’s day. Good luck!

My mother deserves these flowers because she loved, cared for, and put up with my misbehavior when she didn’t have to. I was a foster child when I came to live with the family that would eventually adopt me. From the time I was 7, until I moved out of their house at 18 I put my mother and her family though so much heartache and trouble. But she refused to give up on me. I tried to get her to send me back into foster care. After the adoption process was finished, I tried to get her to emancipate me. But she just wouldn’t give up on me. We now have an amazing friendship and I know that her love and determination is what kept me from turning down the wrong path that so many foster children go down. The fact that she had the option to rid her family of someone who caused them so much grief, and yet chose not to…that’s what makes her special. She wanted to be a foster parent because she wanted to help a child who needed it. And she did, in more ways than I think she will ever know.

I would love to win these for my mom for many reasons. She is 51 and has cancer that has now spread to her liver. No matter how bad she feels my brother and me and my son her only grandchild are first in her thoughts. There is nothing i can do to take her physical pain away and knowing this may be her last Mother’s Day with us I KNOW my mom deserves flowers that are as beautiful as these ones. Kids are never too old that they don’t need their mom and I thank God daily that He gave me one of he BEST moms!

I want to win these for my mother since she is the best/ She homeschooled me and my 9 siblings. ( 5 still in school) she put up with me and taught me to cook.

I wish to take a moment for me to reflect and honor my motherfor everything she ever did for me; for their patience, loyalty, and most of all guiding me night and day. To her I express boundless thanks for having homeschooled me. What a wonderful thing God has caused my mother to wish to direct, and lead me through childhood, youth and now adolescent; to have taught us to pray, to love God’s holy word, and to walk in wisdom. It is her who opened my heart and wakened my understanding of unknown horizons. Most of all I say thank you for the precepts she has set before me which have been an everlasting influence and will even on my new course of life. All that I am and hope to be I owe to my mother, who encouraged, defended, and appreciated me in everything. She is my best friend. May her standards and ideals be my goal as my way of thanking her for all she has done. Where would we be today if it was not for her?
I want to bless her today!

My mother deserves flowers every day. She was abused as a child, growing up in a home where she felt neither love nor acceptance. Now she is a survivor of skin cancer (twice!) and has taught me how strength and perseverance give you hope and the ability to get through anything. She has not let anything stop her and at 72 spends her time taking care of the “elderly” in a trailer park. :) :) No slowing her down.
