Holiday Shopping Tips: Get Discounts on Top Beauty Brands

Everyone loves getting beauty products as gifts–I know I do. With the holidays coming up, I also like to give them. But shopping for beauty gifts for your loved ones can be tough, especially if their taste tends to go towards the higher-end of things.

Read on for some ways you can get some of the top brands at discounted prices. You might even be able to score some goodies for yourself–now that’s my kind of “gift-giving.” Sign Up for Beauty Daily Deals

Sign up on beauty daily deal sites to get alerts for big discounts. Market for Drama is a new members-only website for beauty products. It offers discount shopping events for high-end brands, hard-to-find items and cult favorites. There are sales every week with products in limited quantities for up to 70% off.

Beautybloc.com, which is now a part of Spaphile, also offers top-rated beauty brands, products and services at 50-90% discounts.

Beautyclub.net is another online destination where you can get up to 90% off on well-known and emerging beauty brands, as well as free samples with every purchase (for you to keep or share).

Check Discount Department Stores

Discount department store chains like Marshalls and T.J.Maxx, have become one of my favorite places to shop for full-size products and are good for finding reduced prices on high-end brands. They also carry a lot of rare luxury bath products and gift sets. There is one catch: every store is different and their inventory changes often, so it may be tough to find what you’re looking for.

Shop Online

With Black Friday coming up very soon, it’s the perfect time to snag a good deal on some of the best beauty brands — hassle-free.

eBay is a great place search for beauty products if you know exactly what to get and don’t want to pay retail for it. Just be very cautious with counterfeit products and other scams—choose sellers with lots of positive feedback.

Become a Fan

Lots of companies will release exclusive deals or codes only to their fans on Facebook or Twitter. If you know some of your recipients’ favorite brands, be sure to “Like” or follow them so you can be in-the-know of any special offers they have. Beauty and cosmetic companies like Sephora will have free gift offers especially this time of year.

Join Beauty Clubs

Join a beauty sample club like Birchbox. For $10 a month, you get four to five deluxe beauty samples in the mail every month. Expect large samples from top brands like Korres, NARS, Stila, Kerastase and so much more. You can use them as stocking stuffers and maybe even keep one of them for yourself. Want to take some of the guess work out of your shopping?

On BeautyFix.com, you spend $49.95 and pick eight products (up to $400) every season (three months) from a list that’s recommended for you based on a profile you fill out. You can also give this as a gift–your recipient fills out their beauty profile then selects the products they want to receive.

Great tips! Another great way is to look out for price adjustments! If something I buy goes on sale later, I can usually get the money back by just asking! It’s totally awesome. This app tells you when you have a price adjustment due: savvy.com @thatssavvy
