It happens to me all the time. I'm running around all day and next thing I know the sun is down and I need to be ready for a dinner date or a night out on the town. The makeup I applied in the morning has melted or faded and I don't have time to head home clean up and reapply my makeup all over again.

I'm sure all you ladies have had one of those days where you needed a refreshed evening look after a long day at work or school. With just a few essentials, here's how you can save time (and stress) and transform your day makeup to night:
Be Prepared

If you already know that you're going to have to up your look in no time for the evening, pack all the things you are going to need in a clear cosmetic case. Sephora has a Clear Makeup Bag Collection ranging from $6-$14 depending on the size. You can even just use a clear Ziploc bag. Whatever you decide to use to pack your necessities just make sure it's clear so you can quickly find what you need.

Clean Up Here and There

Carry makeup removing wipes and Q-tips. No need to wipe all of your makeup off, just clean up any makeup that has "moved" or smeared. I really like Olay Daily Facials Express for Sensitive Skin ($5.99). They're really soft on the skin and excellent for removing waterproof makeup. Use the Q-tips for the corners of your eyes where eyeliner tends to smear.

Pack some blotting paper to get rid of shine and absorb any excess oils. These are a must for busy women who are always on-the-go and I always carry some in my purse. Shiseido Pureness Oil-Control Blotting Paper ($18.00), is great when you need a quick touch up. They have a little bit of powder on them so your face stays matte.

Now that your face is cleaned up, here's how you can revamp your makeup...

Face: Don't even bother reapplying concealer, foundation, and powder. Lightly brush your forehead, both cheeks, nose, and chin with your favorite powder foundation to even out your skin tone.

Use a cream blush for your cheeks, like NYX Cream Blush ($6.99). It gives a nice dewy glow and is really quick and easy to apply - no tools needed, just use your fingertips.

Eyes: The best way to create a more dramatic evening look is to add dark or black eyeshadow onto the crease and outer corners of your eyes. Pack an eyeshadow palette that has a base shade, medium shade, and dark shade. Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Instant Definition Eye Shadow Palette has great lid, contour, and highlight combos for only $7.99.

I don't recommend applying extra coats of mascara as they can look clumpy, however, curling your eyelashes is a must.

Lips: The easiest and quickest way to transform your look from day to night is to apply a darker or bolder lipstick. You can also use a bright shimmery lip gloss over your regular lipstick. If you want to go really bold and wear something like red, go easy on the eye makeup.

Even if you don't have enough time to do your eye makeup, making your lips brighter can do the trick.

All this really shouldn't take any more than five minutes. Do you have any other day to night makeup tricks that take little to no time?
