Hey kiddos, whether you like it or not, New York Fashion Week has been in full swing, and all the fashionable people on the Internet are buzzing about shows, photographers, and the right thing to wear when entering the tents.  While I have yet to attend Fashion Week (no matter my passion, I need my work paycheck to pay the mortgage and to fill my closet), I have learned from my fellow fashionistas that while it is important to care about what you wear, it's equally important to be informed and share your runway experiences.  Below is a list of must-have phone apps and websites you should be checking out for the ultimate experience at New York Fashion week, or any fashion event throughout the year.

Phone Apps:

- MADE Fashion Week.  With this app, you can instantly see images after they walked down the runway, tweet such images, view information about designers, and more.  If you plan on writing about (or sounding like an expert on) the shows, this app is a must.

- Instagram.  This free app not only makes your photos look hipster-cool with a variety of filters, but it also is a social networking tool where others can comment and "like" what you shoot.  Have enough fans, and your photo could make the "popular" tab.

- Hipstamatic.  Another app like Instagram which makes square photos with effects to make your images look antique.  While Instagram is free, Hipstamatic costs $1.99 and has additional "gear" available for 99 cents.  What makes Hipstamatic special is they came out with a special cool-toned lens just for February 2012 New York Fashion Week (they came out with a different NYFW-specific lens last year).

- Twitter.  This is a given – not only can you share all you have experienced, but it's the best way to get the latest information and photos from the tents.  Catch up on the activity by following the hashtags #NYFW and #MBFW to get the latest Fashion Week coverage.

Sites to Bookmark:

- Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.  Want to know when the Betsey Johnson show debuted?  Want to catch glimpses of what happened backstage?  Desire press credentials for the next Fashion Week? The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week site is the site to visit for all of this and more.

- Style.com.  Style.com is the premier site for fashion show coverage – photos, recaps, even live streaming of some shows.  Style.com has an app which is essentially their site, but organized in a manner to make it easy to access what you need on the go; both are a must.

- The New York Times.  While you may think of NYT as the place for news, it is quite the site to keep up with fashion.  Their Fashion & Style section is constantly updated with articles about designers and behind-the-scenes stories of runway shows.  Their On the Runway blog concentrates on exactly that – details and photos from runway shows.

-The Wall Street Journal.  Like The Times, WSJ has quite a phenomenal blog called Heard on the Runway which captures some of the best Fashion Week coverage.  My favorite part is how they consolidate the tweets of all their fashion and style reporters in the sidebar.

- New York Magazine's The Cut blog.  The Cut has the best slideshows of street style from New York Fashion Week.

- MilkMade via Livestream.  Didn't get invited to your favorite designer's runway show?  No worries with Milk's channel on Livestream.  See designers like Alexander Wang and Peter Som live-streaming from Milk Studios in New York City.

- Guest of a Guest.  Want to see shots from the parties during Fashion Week?  Want to know where the celebs, socialites, and beautiful people go and what they wear?  Guest of a Guest is your site.
