Office Space, Sweet Office Space

There are many reasons I love working for Savings.com: I like my job, I work with really fun and cool people--and our office space rocks! Located in Santa Monica, my home away from home offers a convenient location (less than a mile from where I live!), an airy, open atmosphere and a kitchen stocked full of snacks.
No cubicle farm for us: most Savings.com staffers share space in the "bull-pen"--an open office environment that allows us to more freely coordinate and collaborate with our coworkers.
The vaulted ceilings and plentiful skylights means we don't often have to suffer under fluorescent lighting. Except for the rare cloudy day in sunny Santa Monica--or winter early sunsets, we let the sun illuminate our workspace.
Despite the cement floors and gray brick walls, the warehouse feel of the space is more fun and funky than cold and sterile. Adding some splashes of color and our logo art doesn't hurt either...
If we need a break from work, we can kick back in the lounge and read, chat or catch the NCAA finals on our flat screen TV.
My coworkers often take advantage of the warm SoCal weather and eat lunch outside on the patio.
So that's a quick peek at the Savings.com inner sanctum. In addition, we've got two meeting rooms (the big conference room was dubbed the "Varsity room" and the smaller one the "JV room" by Team SEM), four offices for when someone needs a bit more privacy (two of which have been commandeered by the sales team...), a storage room and a wall of cubbies to stash our stuff.
