Product Review
When it comes to personal finance software, there are many options to choose from. As a buyer, I tend to migrate towards the "well known" choices. This is why I recently purchased the newest version of
Quicken Deluxe. While I have used variations of this program in the past, I figured it was time to upgrade.
While I was excited to get started with Quicken Deluxe 2010, things did not go as planned from the start. The first issue came into play as I attempted to install the software. With each attempt, the same error message popped up. As you can imagine, this was quite disappointing. After all, I spent a pretty penny and was hoping to use the software right away.
This is when Quicken won me over as a customer forever. Their support is out of this world. I started with the online search support feature. While this led me to some basic information, it was not enough to cure my problem. So, I moved on.
Next, I decided I would try out the live chat feature. Fortunately, the rep was more than helpful. Not only did he take the time to diagnose my problem (
which was nothing more than a configuration issue), he also explained how I could better sync the software with my PC for optimal performance. Anytime a customer service agent goes above and beyond it sends chills down my spine. As you probably know, this doesn't happen very often in today's day and age.
Even though it took me a while to get up and running, it was worth it in the end. Quicken Deluxe 2010 was everything I thought it would be, plus much more. In the weeks to come, I hope to write a full review of this product and what it can do for you. Just to give you a taste of some basic features: brings all your accounts together, helps identify where you are spending your money, and offers bill pay alerts. To go along with all this, when you buy Quicken Deluxe online you will receive Quicken WillMaker for free.
I know if I ever have trouble with my software in the future that the team at Intuit will be there to help. To me, this is a huge benefit!
