For our 4th annual Save Up conference, we brought everyone to the Savings.com headquarters in Los Angeles. We played host to 31 of our DealPro ambassadors, the very best money saving experts in the county, together for two full days of learning, networking, and fun. Our DealPros regularly cover topics such as personal finance, finding the best deals, and how to be budget savvy.

Save Up '12 was a training and networking event for the first wave Savings Nation DealPro teachers. These DealPros will be hosting grocery couponing workshops all over the country in the coming months. We spent the majority of the time focused on Savings Nation curriculum training, media & presentation training and learning best blogging practices. Savings.com staff members led discussions on SEO, PR, and monetization tips & tricks.
Friday morning came bright and early, and some of our more adventurous DealPros joined in for a pre-sunrise yoga session to stretch out after their flights. From there, it was a quick breakfast and back to the training sessions! As you'd expect from a group of bloggers meeting at an Internet company, the office was buzzing with Foursquare check-ins and Instagram photos with friends. The conversation even continued online, with #SU12 keeping us all on the same page. From interviews to headshots and even games of pool during the breaks, it was the first time many of our staff had met the DealPros in-person, after so many online conversations.

While our office is pretty spiffy normally, it was transformed for Saturday night, for our 5th anniversary party. Low lighting and candles lent an ambiance to the room, with white couches completing the scene. When we weren't posing for pictures on the red carpet and channeling our inner celebrity, we were on the dance floor, being "young and fabulous", as one coworker put it.

Sunday, we held our final session, and our favorite part of the weekend- the DealPro roundtable. Sharing insights and suggestions, we spent time discussing the future of Savings Nation and new ideas for helping America see the value in saving money.
