The Super Bowl is coming up this weekend, and did you know that we're having a Twitter party on Thursday to kick off the fun!?! Punt intended...

Well if you're like a lot of people, you're planning on either hosting a party or bringing a side dish to a party at a friend's house. So what are the best ways to save while getting supplies at the grocery store? Here are four tips to help you keep a little extra cash in your pocket this week as you prepare for festive football fun!

1. "Compare pre-made and homemade prices for appetizers. While homemade dishes are usually far less expensive, sometimes the opposite can be true if many ingredients that are not on sale are needed for the recipe". Hat tip: DealPro Jennie LeAnne of BargainBlessings.com.
2."Instead of making numerous appetizers, stick with a few and double the recipe. You'll be purchasing fewer ingredient types." Hat tip: DealPro Lynette Rice of CleverlySimple.com.
