Easter is just a few short days away, and most people rush out, last-minute, for decorating and fun craft supplies. But there are some simple ways that you can celebrate Easter, but also be frugal at the same time - even if you did procrastinate in preparing!

Here are 10 tips for how to celebrate Easter on a budget.

1. Use leftover baskets from the previous year, or use baskets that you have on hand. Almost everyone has baskets in their homes, so utilize what you have!

2. Use leftover green tissue paper from the holidays to stuff your baskets vs. buying new plastic grass.

3. Go for the plastic eggs vs. decorating real eggs. These can be used again next year, thus saving you money in the long-run.

4. Go to a store like The Dollar Tree for supplies that you simply need to buy. Everything is $1, and it's an inexpensive way to pick up decorating necessities.

5. If you do want to dye your own eggs, avoid the expensive kits because all you really need is food coloring, water and vinegar.

6. Make your own crafts with the kids out of construction paper you have on hand.

7. Use a site like Pinterest for frugal inspiration when it comes to baking, decorating and crafts.

8. Once Easter is over, shop the after-Easter sales to stock up on items for the following year. I still have huge bags of plastic eggs that I paid a few cents for last year.

9. Check the thrift stores for supplies. Goodwill usually has an entire section devoted to seasonal items, and currently has a huge supply of baskets and decorations for Easter.

10. Use free printables for crafts, games and decorations. Do a quick search online, or you can browse Easter printables on Pinterest

With a little creativity, even the last-minute planner can celebrate Easter on a budget! What are some of the ways that you save money while celebrating Easter?
