Last week I let you guys in some good
games for the kiddies this holiday season. This week, I promised some blood, guts, and rock & roll and I plan on delivering on that promise.
Here are some of the hottest games for adults and teens this year:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360, PS3, PC): If you haven't heard of this game yet, you can't consider yourself a gamer. Within 24 hours of it's release, it broke nearly ever entertainment record in the books. If you thought the Twilight series was huge, think again. MW2 pulled in $550 million in the first 5 days it was released. Twilight made $275 million in its first 5 days. If you know anyone that's into realistic war games, this game needs to be the top on your list.
Brutal Legend (PS3, Xbox 360): This 3rd person action/adventure game stars Jack Black. He stars a roadie who is thrown into some weird dimension where he must fight off all kind of creatures with his guitar rocks his enemies with ease. It crude, funny, and full of action. It's gotten great reviews from nearly every reputable video game reviewer. It even features online multi-player mode which will give you plenty to do after you beat the solo game mode.
MadWorld (Wii): This has to be the bloodiest game I've ever seen. You are pitted in a world where everyone has been poisoned, and the only way to get the antidote is to kill everyone around, kind of like a whole city Battle Royale. This game lets you do all kinds of crazy things like impale ninjas with spikes, chainsaw people, and beat people with spiked clubs. If you know anyone into really violent games, this has to be the bloodiest games, especially for the Wii.
Left 4 Dead 2(Xbox 360, PC): In this survival horror sequel, a group of four humans must fight off hundreds of zombies to stay alive. Using all sorts of weapons and sticking together, you wander the streets trying to find your next safe spot while staying alive and protecting your teammates. I'm a huge zombie game fan so I had to throw this one in there. I've played the demo for it and loved every second of it. I definitely recommend it for anyone who's into zombie or survival games.
That about wraps it up for this week. If none of these games seem appealing to the person you're shopping for you can always get them Beatles Rock Band or DJ Hero. Both are games that are great for the entire family and can be a great bonding experience. Don't forget to check out our
