This week's version of the Video Game Show of Shows is a bit of a grab bag of news, reviews and price drops from around the web. I've been catching up on my gaming, so expect a double shot of reviews on next week's blog. In the meantime, let's talk about video game accessory discounts, new release news and other assorted video game happenings the web has been buzzing about this week.

Playstation Move

Playstation Move Accessories get a price cut from Gamestop this week. The giant gaming retailer is offering a 50% break on select Move accessories. They are also offering Move games for $9.99. Titles and accessories include the Playstation Move Sharpshooter rifle down from $39.99 to 19.99, a discounted Move controller, and The Fight: Lights Out fighting game dropped from $40 to $9.99. Having played the latter, that's about where it should have been at launch.

Playstation Vita

The veil on the scope of the PS Vita launch has been lifted somewhat, as we now know which games will accompany the portable gaming device's launch next year. Twenty-six games in all will debut with the new portable system. The list includes variations of more recent hits, as well as versions of some old classics. Titles like Metal Gear Solid HD, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and Street Fighter Vs. Tekken top the list. The launch will also include F1 2011, Hot Shots Golf 6, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and Michael Jackson Experience HD. Down the line there is even a Final Fantasy X remake, Final Fantasy X HD, headed to the system.

As I discussed way back during E3 2011, the Vita will cost $299, with additional data plan pricing attached (between $10 and $50 every 20 - 100 hours if the Japanese prices are anything to go by), for the 3G version and $249 for the WiFi only version. The launch games will be priced at $40. A bit steep in my opinion. But then, I'm all for lower prices for games in general considering we live in the Patch and Bug generation of gaming. ($30 seems more reasonable to me by the way, for mobile and console games).

Finally, it should be noted that these launch titles are confirmed for the Japanese launch only. More titles or a different set of launch games could be announced in the months to come for the eventual US and European launches later next year. For the full list, be sure to check out ZDNet's ToyBox blog.

Have you found anything interesting, shocking, or downright pleasing this week in the world of gaming? Discuss it below and let's debate the merits of low pricing and games that work well out of the box.
