Hannibal Lecter is noted as one of the most brilliant psychiatrists on the planet. One small problem, though. He tends to eat his patients. Only the bad ones, mind you. Consider that Dr. Lecter is a refined man; he would first tenderize the, uh...meat. Then he would season the meat before he cooked it.

What spices would Hannibal Lecter buy from Penzeys?

Spicy and Hot

Red Cayenne Pepper - Dr. Lecter might be concerned about his life longevity, not necessarily his patient's life longevity. Cayenne pepper has antioxidant properties, which help prevent cardiovascular disease and ulcers. Sprinkle a little red cayenne pepper to liven up any dish.

Grilled

Allspice - Dr. Lecter may eat a grilled burger from time to time. However, not an ordinary ground beef burger. Oh, no, that is too common for a man of such refined taste as his. It is plausible Hannibal would enjoy a Grilled Spicy Lamb Burger. Dr. Lecter is the type who enjoys a tasty leg-of-man--er, leg-of-lamb. Allspice would give the lamb burger that added sweetness as well as a sweet aroma.

Hungarian Paprika - Yes, this is a unique spice, but Dr. Lecter is anything but ordinary. He definitely would enjoy ribs that fall off the bone such as Quick Baby Back Ribs. Would Dr. Lecter butcher the meat himself? What do you think?
