I can't believe it's almost fall!  Living in LA, we lack the four seasons so all I can go by is the really hot heatwave that comes through before we move into fall.  With fall coming closer, all I can think about are pumpkins, warm soups and Halloween.

Personally, it brings up such great childhood memories.  My mom making pumpkin porridge, entering into my school's annual Jack-o'-lantern contest and of course the highlight, dressing up for Halloween.  As we get ready for fall, our DealPros have a thing or two for you to think about.

What should you buy in September?

If you are looking to save some money this month, Valerie Hoff of 11Alive tells you What To Buy In September so that you can maximize your savings.  If you're bike hunting, this is the time to make your purchase as the stores clear past inventory to bring new ones in.
Someone recently passed and you want to help

I'm sure we've all been in the position where a close family member or friend passed away or you knew someone or their family that were going through a death.  Sami Cone's father-in-law recently passed away and she give her tips on How to help when someone dies

Automatic payments, are they always the best option?

I always thought automatic payments was one way to save money (as I recently did with my Time Warner bill), however that is not always the case.  Northern Cheapskate tells you to Be Careful When Choosing Automatic Payments.  I'm glad I read this post because now I'll be more conscious and do the math before I decide to choose auto-pay on anything!

Avoiding unwanted price checks

I hate when something is on sale and when I'm at the checkout line, the thing rings up full price. You have to proceed to tell the cashier that the price is wrong, then they call someone to price check and to make matters worse, there's a huge line of people behind you giving you the "eye".  The Prudent Patron has a Quick Tip to Avoid Long, Unwanted Price Checks.  Love her simple tip and will be using it in the near future!

Things that make you cry when couponing

Have you ever cut off the expiration date of a coupon or anything similar?  Sarah's Deals reflects on her own trials and tribulations with Things That Make Couponers Want to Cry.  Since I am a newcomer to couponing I've only done a few, but I can relate to some of the frustrations and anxiety that can come about with couponing.

Mayo the miracle table shiner

Hmm...does this sound interesting or interesting?  Mayo seems to give luscious shiny hair as well, so I don't doubt that it could do miracles on a table top.  With this step by step Easy Table Shiner instructional from Little House Living, you will take your table from drab to fab.  What's even better is that you can use expired mayo to do the trick!

Recipes: Pumpkin Pie Smoothie, Pumpkin Cheese Bread, Carrot Almond Raisin Salad & More

Fall is definitely in the air.  I can tell our DealPros are fall foodies.  Start your morning off with The Thrifty Mama's Pumpkin Pie Smoothie (liquid pumpkin pie, yumm!).  Or if you're not a liquid type of person, take a bite of some Saving Dollars and Sense's Pumpkin Cheese Bread.  For lunch, make it seasonal and light with Getting Freedom's Carrot Almond Raisin Salad.  Are you in the mood for dessert?  Try NorCal Coupon Gal's Smores Bars (brings back memories I had in front of the campfires).  For those of you that want a little somethin' somethin' try Moms Confession's Moscato Party Mixer (I don't drink often, but when I do, Moscato is my go-to drink).
