Wolves Howling at the Moon on a T-Shirt? That's So Northern Wisconsin, Circa 1993

Ah, the Internet. So expansive, so enlightening, so full of hipster generated irony. The Washington Post published a story on their website today about the Three Wolf Moon T-Shirt and the enormous number of consumer reviews it has received on Amazon.com.

The real ironic part isn't that it has received so many overwhelmingly favorable reviews (although, that is pretty ironic), it's the effect that these reviews have had on sales for the shirt. While most, if not all, of the reviews are pure fabrications, the people at The Mountain (the company behind this kitschy gem) couldn't care less. Amazon has sold out of their shirt, and The Mountain is in the process of printing up a new batch.

Sex sells? Well, yeah, but irony sells too, evidently.

Seriously, take a few minutes to read what people have to say about the Three Wolf Moon T-Shirt. Someone should publish all these hilarious and creative short stories in an anthology of sorts. They could follow it up with a book of reviews of Tuscan Whole Milk or comments on the Badonkadonk Land Cruiser / Tank.

Here's an excerpt from one of the 568 customer reviews this shirt has received on Amazon:

"So I'm looking for threads that say, "Hey baby...I'm real boss!" when I stumble upon this epic creation. The wolves spoke to me in a language all their own; it was like German, Mongol, and Bitchin' all mixed together."

If you'd like to add your opinion (ironic or otherwise) to the Internet, have at it. Most websites have a place for you to make comments on their products, articles, services, etc. We at Savings.com welcome comments on our deals and on our blog posts, so if you've got something to share, let's hear it!
