Free Shipping Day is Friday December 16th of this year. Thousands of the biggest online retailers are all getting together and offering free shipping and guaranteed delivery by Christmas Eve on that day. Started in 2008 by the online forces behind, Free Shipping Day was created to boost confidence among online shoppers that presents would get to them before Christmas. Before Free Shipping Day was created, online holiday sales would peak way early around Cyber Monday even. Now in its fourth year, Free Shipping Day is the third biggest online shopping day of the year with over 2,000 merchants participating.

    I usually buy off Amazon that offers free shipping just the same. Good to know though.
