Tips for Finding the Best Deals on Quality Kids Shoes
When it comes to finding shoes for my four year-old, I have to say I’m very picky. They have to be comfy, light, flexible, made from natural materials and, of course, be super cute. I’m a big fan of quality kids shoes like Naturino, Garvalin, Primigi, Stride Rite and Pediped, but their prices can be unreasonable.
So, how can we afford good shoes for our kids without braking the bank? Well, luckily I know how to find great deals and I have to say I always find quality shoes for less. I strongly believe that kids have to wear comfortable shoes made from natural materials. They play in them all day, specially if they go to school and they need to have good shoes for their developing feet.
I’ve seen so many uncomfortable kids shoes at stores like Gap, Gymboree and Disney Store. All those stores make adorable and high quality kids clothing, but when it comes to shoes, I have to say, their quality is pretty poor. I don’t know how kids can stay comfortable in stiff, hard shoes that have no flexibility. I think I couldn’t walk a block in shoes like that and I wouldn’t purchase something like that for my child.
Here’s my list of top stores where I usually find great deals on shoes:
I have to say that they have the best selection of quality kids shoes on sale. You do have to browse to find the right size and sometimes it takes time, but it’s totally worth it. I was always able to find great deals.
My daughter currently has adorable all leather Naturino shoes that I got for $25 from Amazon (with free shipping) and a pair of super cute Garvalin leather sandals that I paid $20 for (also with free shipping). My suggestion is to buy an item as soon as you see it, because it’s not gonna be available for a long time. Also, I usually buy sandals in early spring for summer (I just order them a size bigger).
Last month I bought a pair of all leather LEGO shoes for my niece for $10. They were originally about $40 and on sale for $14 and, with a coupon for an extra 25% off, they ended up being only $10. All of their shoes ship for free and that’s also a big plus. This was the first time that I bought LEGO shoes and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I have to say they are really cute and comfy and I was very happy with my purchase. They also have a big selection of Stride Rite shoes on sale and the great thing about shoes.com is that they always offer coupons, so you can save even more.
They have pretty good deals too, the only thing is they charge shipping and when I try to save money and buy shoes for $20, I don’t want to spend $7 on shipping. But if you find a really good deal, sometimes it’s OK to pay for shipping.
Last summer I bought light up sneakers for $25 and they are still a hit in our house. They were originally $60, but they always have sales at the end of the season for up to 65% off and it’s definitely worth going there. They don’t have the same deals online, so I recommend going in stores, if you have one close to you. Their shoes are really well-made.
What are your secrets when it comes to shopping for kids shoes? I would love to hear them.
