It's the holiday season…and with that holiday parties and galas. While it's tempting to go out and buy a new sparkly dress for such events, you can easily get a hot holiday look without buying a new wardrobe.
Here are some ways to jazz up that simple Little Black Dress that is already residing in your closet. Look chic and stylish without spending an arm and a leg!
This fall has so many amazing fashion trends, it can be quite overwhelming. If you try to update your wardrobe to keep up with them, you could be in the poorhouse by the start of October.
I find the easiest (and most frugal!) way to update your closet each season is with a few choice accessories. While accessory updates are great for updating the wardrobe for less, they are also awesome because they take up little space. If the trend or your size changes, you can pack them away and bring them back when the fashion or your size returns!
The simple addition of a shoe, bag, or change to your cosmetic routine can completely transform your wardrobe basics, bringing you to the height of fashion for very little money.
I just got back from my annual beach getaway with my mom, sister and daughter. I love going to the beach--the surf, the sand, the sun and the great food and shopping! A key to a fun and relaxing beach getaway is packing appropriately for the event. Who wants to stress about what to wear when you are supposed to be relaxing?

For the past several years, the standard woman's purse has become a status symbol: A way to show off your income and your personal style. Thankfully, Summer 2011 brought handbag trends that are more about shape and style than the designer name on the label.
Below are the five styles of handbags that I find to be the most popular and versatile:
Social media outlets were all a-twitter this week regarding Gwyneth Paltrow's newsletter GOOP. GOOP is a newsletter (and website) where Paltrow shares her favorite places to visit, recipes, advice and inspiration from celebrity friends, and her random thoughts on topics important to her. This week, GOOP featured Gwyneth's choices for spring essentials.
The collection was full of simple, yet modern pieces that were are versatile and perfect for the season. Paltrow teamed with shopping site Net-a-Porter to offer these wardrobe essentials for purchase. The only problem" These "essentials" total over $18,000 ($16,434 for the clothing and shoes alone!). I doubt you can afford such a wardrobe, I know I can't. I usually hate "Dress for Less" articles because they pick pieces that may be similar, but don't give the same effect when actually worn.
However since I do believe Paltrow's "essentials" do make for a creative yet wearable spring and summer wardrobe, I scoured the 'net for pieces that give the same effect, but are available for much, much less.
One thing I got out of watching the Royal Wedding on Friday was a major desire for a chic chapeau. Hats and fascinators are wedding attire must-haves in the UK, but over the past couple of seasons have started to become a trend in the US. After William and Kate's event this past week, I believe they will be more on trend than ever. Why let all the Brits have the millinery fun?
Here's your guide to hats, fascinators and fabulous fashionable millinery!
