It's that time of year! The holiday lights are up, the snow is falling (here in Michigan, anyway), and gift shopping season is officially under way.
I know what you're thinking: "I want to get something awesome for that guy who writes that awesome tech blog, but I'm on a limited budget."
Have no fear, shoppers--I've rounded up five great gift options for the gadget lover in your life, all of them priced under $25.

Monday is Halloween! I hope you guys are as excited as I am! Actually, my Halloween party started Friday night with a trip to Disneyland for their festivities, but more fun is on the way. I love the whole dressing up and seeing creepy things part of Halloween, so it's all in good fun.
And this week's wacky product of the week falls into the Halloweeny category yet again, because it's awesome. And I've been saving it, waiting for the exact moment when I could post this ridiculous but oddly creative item! This week, you're going to have to give me a hand with the product. Actually, I'll give you one: the
Dokkiri Hand Case for iPhone 4.

Apple announced the release date for the
iPhone 4S, it was destined
to be at the top of many a Christmas list, right alongside the
iPad 2. It was also a foregone
conclusion that countless third party companies would try to elbow their
way into the market with their own iPhone 4S accessories.

Newsworthy
Maybe you don't normally find my wacky product of the week very a-
peel-ing, but you won't be able to resist this week's. It's so ridiculous. So strange. So unbelievably useless! I'm not even monkeying around with this one.
Okay, enough banana jokes...This week's insanely ridiculous product is the
Banana Cellphone Handset from
PerpetualKid.com. At only $15, I'm still not sure it's even worth buying--even if would be unbelievably amusing to whip this out during a business meeting or in a crowded elevator.

Yowza!! is a free smartphone app that lets you locate in-store deals and coupons in your area. When you find a deal you want you use, you simply show it to the merchant, they scan the barcode, and the deal is applied.
No printing required.
Last week, I had the opportunity to interview Greg Grunberg, co-creator
of
Yowza!!,
actor and all-around nice guy.

Stuff We Like
A while back, I updated my
iPod Touch from the awesome 3rd Generation model to the killer 4th Gen one, mainly because I was stoked about having two cameras with video capabilities in my iPod but also for the fact that I knew I'd be able to use my iPod Touch to make phone calls. I share a smartphone with my partner since I mainly work from home in order to save some dough, and use my iPod Touch to make any other necessary calls when I'm at home or in any WiFi network area.
How do I do it? A pretty awesome app called
TextFree With Voice.
