Halloween is over and now you have to decide what to do with all that leftover candy plus the huge bags of candy your children brought home. There are quite a few good options plus you can give back at the same time.
One great place to take your candy is a dentist office that participates in the Halloween Candy Buy Back or Give Back program. Dentists "Buy" back Halloween candy from neighborhood kids, then send it to the troops overseas! You can find a participating dentist near you at the
Halloween Candy Buy Back Website. You get that candy out of your home and you brighten the day of an American Hero. That is a win/win in my book.

It's
Astounding
Deep in the belly of the beast we call the grocery store is a place
so fraught with fright even the bravest of savings souls cower at
the mere mention of it. Not really, I just don't get the chance to
use the word fraught that often.
I'm typing about The Clearance Cave.
Where is it you ask? It's just a jump to the left, and then a step
to the right. Head towards the back of the store. Cling to your
cart real tight. Somewhere along the back wall (or side, depending
on where your store has the stock area) is a door that separates
the shoppers from the stock area. This can be a veritable
cornucopia of clearance items â fruit, bakery,
etc. Plus a treasure trove of non-perishables. Some of the stuff
found back there, okay, I have no idea what is.

I can't believe Halloween is less than a week away. I am attending 2 Halloween parties and my friends and I already have the menu planned. You don't have to break the bank while hosting a party. I typically do it pot luck style which can save money as it allows everyone to contribute.
Here are some good frugal recipes if you have a party or maybe just want to get in the Halloween or Fall spirit:

It's that fun time of year again, when we embrace our inner kid and dress up to impress while knocking on random people's doors, visiting the local festivals and having our own little pumpkin parties with friends....oh wait, is that just me that does that? Who says the kids just get to dress up and have all the fun?
But if you thought that costume buying for the kids was expensive, just imagine what it's like trying to come up with an adult costume on a budget.
