If you know me well, you will know that the very last thing I am apt to say is "Work out! Feel great! Build some muscles! Take yoga!" Pffft.
I for one, will certainly never be paying someone to help me sweat on purpose.
But, I have discovered an off-label use for the YMCA: cheap babysitting.
And tiny-budding-handball-player asks for it.
"Mommy, I wanna go to da Y. I wanna play with da balls."
With our family membership to the YMCA, we get 2 free hours of childcare, while we're on-site, every day including Saturday.

It's a new year and it's time to get back into the motion of things. Every year, millions of people vow to work out, find solutions to lose weight and commit to staying healthy. But, did you ever wonder how you could do all of this without being financially unhealthy?
Countless of times when I saw my husband not go to the gym, all I could see was that $39.99 monthly fee go out the window. I know plenty of people who cancelled their gym memberships mid-year because they weren't taking advantage of the facilities that they were fully paying for.
If you want to know how you can stay healthy and fit and keep your bank account equally healthy and fit, our DealPros have some really great tips to share with you!

By now your kids are probably geared up for school, and everyone is
in the process of getting used to a new schedule (hopefully). The
last thing you need is to have your child wake up one morning with
a high fever or, even worse, that dreaded call from the school
nurse telling you to pick up your ill child ASAP.
Come on! School just started!
Still, many parents find themselves dealing with a sick child early
into the school year.

Fall is upon us and with it
pumpkin pie, fall festivals, and a change in the weather that usually has my allergies acting up. While there are times when stuff just happens and we get sick no matter what we try, there are a couple of things I do at home to help prevent sickness and keep my immunity up.
1. Eat and drink plenty of Vitamin C. This means plenty of fruits and vegetables as well as juices. I do a lot of my own juicing at home too after making a stop at my local Natural Grocery Store. Vitamin C is great for immunity boosting and warding off colds.
2. Keep grapefruit seed extract spray on hand. Just a few squirts in my nose, and I'm good as new. Several times when I was coming down with something, I ended up perfectly fine after using this.

In a recent article by the
Los Angeles Times, a survey showed that
healthcare costs are rising while benefits are shrinking. Health premiums have risen 153.5% since 2002 which is five times the inflation rate in California. And on top of that, employers offering health insurance has dropped to 63% from 73%. In fact, 46.3 million Americans under the age of 65 do NOT have health insurance. These are scary statistics, but there are ways you can go about managing your health care without health insurance.
