As internet subscription services begin to outnumber websites featuring quizzes about
things like 'Which Caroline in the City character are you?" I find myself wondering which
of them are actually worth my monthly fee and which have a press release that just fit
nicely into a click-through blurb?
I decided to test a few of them out to get a feel for how they actually benefit a user, and
how much they live up to their promising allure.
I tend to hold on to
clothes until they're falling apart – stains on the cuff, rips at the
seam, and faded. In that condition, I don't feel right donating them to a
charity shop. But I also don't feel right just tossing old clothes in
the trash and adding to our ever-growing landfills. So I end up with
bags of unwanted clothes taking up space in my closet.
I stumbled across the bags while I was spring cleaning. Instead of just
tossing them back in the closet and forgetting for another year, I
decided to do find a way to re-purpose the clothes. Turns out, old
clothes have plenty of new uses, and I've saved a bunch of money reusing
something to boot.
Happy New Year! Each year, millions of Americans make New Year resolutions to lose weight, stop smoking, and end bad habits. Many of these resolutions go by the wayside before we even celebrate Valentine's Day. For 2012 make some resolutions that are easier to stick to, and will benefit your personal style all year long!

Even though I work up a sweat in this weather just walking to the car, I have to admit I too am lusting for tall leather boots and tweed.
How do you dress for the weather, but also dress for the season?
I just got back from my annual beach getaway with my mom, sister and daughter. I love going to the beach--the surf, the sand, the sun and the great food and shopping! A key to a fun and relaxing beach getaway is packing appropriately for the event. Who wants to stress about what to wear when you are supposed to be relaxing?
After all my years as a beach fan, these are my must-pack items for a great beach getaway wardrobe:
Whether you want to ward off a chilly seaside breeze, shield yourself from the sun, take your bikini from shore to café, or cover up your curves between dips in the pool, a great swimsuit cover-up is a must for any stylish woman. Now is the time to purchase swim cover-ups on sale as, though the swim season has just started, retailers are trying to clear out their summer inventory to make room for fall fashions.
Here are a few styles I have seen lately that are fashionable yet budget-friendly:
