EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT COUPONS & THEN SOME

RealDeal: Hi.  I’m RealDeal and I‘m one of the contributors on Savings.com.  I find deals to share with you on the Savings.com website.  Since I’m known to write a little and like a challenge, the crew at Savings.com asked me to find out everything you ever wanted to know about coupons (thanks guys… really).

WiscoVixen: Well hold on just a sec… RealDeal's not going to get all the credit for this all-encompassing coupon and savings manifesto. My name is WiscoVixen, and I'm another contributor on Savings.com. Around the office, I'm known as the… verbose girl, so the fellas decided to have me use my gift of words to assist RealDeal with putting together the all-in-one guide to online shopping, coupons, and savings.

RD: But of course we can’t forget W-Vix and the work she accomplished towards making this happen!

WV: You got that right.

RD: Then let’s jump right into it.  While doing my research I navigated the depths of history and culture to uncover all the facts and impacts of coupons. We will go back to the 1800s for origins, read about familiar names such as Coca Cola, Grape Nuts, the Internet, and maybe (just maybe) learn the answer to an obscure Trivial Pursuit question.

WV: While vital to the topic, the past is not where we do our shopping, so it also helps to know about the present times and what it takes to shop online in the vast virtual world that is the Internet.  Our tips and tricks will make shopping fun for you when you realize how much money you can save using coupons.

RD: By the way, for those of you who have been in a cave for the last two hundred years: a coupon is an offer – save “this” when you buy “that.”  Coupons allow us to think in terms of savings, which can bring an otherwise prohibitively priced product into financial reach if the deal is right.  And it’s no matter if it’s a can of beans or new flat screen TV. That’s the best part! Coupons let us save money on the things we want. And with today’s search capabilities on the Internet and sites like Savings.com, the possible savings seems endless.

That said, how did it come to this? Read on brave shopper! Our journey into the Coupon begins here.

WV: We hope you find it both helpful and enlightening!
