Money Saving Tips
I don't buy many meal "mixes or helpers" because of their high sodium
content but I often have a very teeny window between work and the
homework/shower/dinner/bedtime merry go round.
When I need to
whip up a quick dinner, I often make a double or triple batch of
something easy and freeze it. To me, this is more doable than spending
an entire day cooking a month's worth of meals.
Here is my (somewhat) healthy Cheeseburger Mac Recipe.
You can add or subtract anything you want from it, it's super easy to
freeze and costs less than a dollar per serving. (I would know, my 5
and 7 old boys are big eaters!!)

Money Saving Tips
Advances in internet and mobile technology have transformed the
coupon world in just a few short years. The days of spending hours
clipping coupons from newspapers and magazines are disappearing
quickly. Digital coupons are available 24-hours a day on several
websites and can be printed or downloaded to a cell phone faster
than it would take for you to scan a Sunday newspaper for the right
advertisement. Many stores allow you to sign up for a newsletter so
that they can send coupons and sales information directly to your
e-mail box. Today's coupons find you instead of waiting for you to
find them.
Go Straight to the Source
Many retailers are beginning to realize how important their online
marketing campaigns are. You can find coupons for specific products
by visiting the retailer's website. The power of the internet
allows the retailers to keep track of competitors pricing and offer
coupons or discounts to their customers through their websites.

Shop Smarter

This year, I decided to make Easter baskets for a few kids. I had
everything I needed but the chocolate. I don't want to give the
kids the usual candy bars made from fillers, trans fats and
preservatives, so I've been on the hunt for some organic chocolate
bars. I found a few options at my local grocery store, but they
were too expensive. Even with Easter right around the corner, the
organic chocolate I found was still going for $6.00 a bar. So I
went online - where I found a few great tasting (and cheaper)
options for organic chocolate. Here are the best:
Dagoba Chocolates
Dagoba Chocolates sells a variety of chocolate
bars, baking products and drinking chocolate. The company uses
organic ingredients to blend their chocolate creations.
