I LOVE King Arthur products................BUT, they really need to consider us customers (online) and do something about their shipping costs. Many catalog companies offer free shipping (LLBEAN) or at the very least free shipping with a certain amount spent. They have wonderful products and their package and shipping is 1st class......BUT I would buy lots more if they would fix that high shipping.

I would LOVE to buy more items at King Arthur Flour, but their shipping and handling charges are too high for my taste. Guess I will just shop locally for what I need. Sorry, King Arthur Flour. If just once in a while you would offer free shipping, I would stock up!

Hi moinmoin, sorry you had trouble with that deal! I tried clicking the "free shipping on select items" deal, and didn't get the message you're talking about, so I can't speak to that situation specifically. However, my guess is that it was a short-lived 10% off deal that automatically applied, and that the site won't let you use more than one discount at a time (which is why the free shipping disappeared). Usually when that happens, the site automatically grants you whichever discount is more significant. I CLICKED ON THE FREE SHIPPING, THE HOMEPAGE CAME UP WITH FREE SHIPPING PRINTED ON IT PLUS A CODE FOR 10% OFF. AT CHECK OUT THE 10% OFF WAS APPLIED, FREE SHIPPING DISAPEARED AND $ 12.00 WAS APPLIED. THAT IS SAD AND I WON'T BE A STEADY CUSTOMER...........

I agree with everyone on the shipping cost. I can't find the yellow cake mix in any of my local stores, I have requested it but they have not brought them into their stores. I saw they have a 20% off dealtodayand was going to buy some, but for one cake mix it would cost me $11.56 with shipping, which is ridiculous. So bummed :(

I was lucky recentlly to get a free shipping coupon in my email direct from the King Arthur website that I subscribed to several years ago.. I ordered several bags of different variety flours... now that I've become an almost daily bread baker, while everyone waits for them to come out of my ovens! Our very nice UPS man did struggle to get that very heavy box up to our door complete with a big grin. (He smelled the bread baking, so he wasn't a bit surprised)I couldnt imagine how pricey the shipping would have been but it was a great opportunity for me..I now have several pantry shelves well stocked.. Hopefully they will offer that again before the holidays this year for all those little extras that KA offers!

I love King Arthur products and would love to get many more, except the shipping cost is a problem for me, way too high, and hardly ever they offer free shipping. Its hard enough to pay their prices, never mind the shipping, so I normally shop other places that offer better deals.
