Loose Change
Ommmmm ommmm ommmmm.
That sound signifies the beginning of yoga class. Eyes closed, hands relaxed on your legs and three deep inhales and exhales.
Most people have tried yoga at least once in their lives. I was a skeptic until recently. I thought yoga was too boring and not much of a workout. I even tried going to a class and felt like falling asleep mid-class. However, with an open mind, I gave yoga another try. Power Yoga. And boy was it a workout!
The class was completely packed, all the windows were closed and people were dripping sweat all around me. I sweated through my tee and felt like passing out or leaving. But, I stuck it through. 90 minutes later we were released and so was my stress. I felt exhilarated and exhausted. I haven't been back to Power Yoga since, but have been practicing Iyengar yoga on a weekly basis with a few colleagues. It's not as intense as Power Yoga but it still kicks my butt.
Our instructor even joked that it's the original Insanity workout. He's not kidding.

Money Saving Tips
Recently, a nutrition professor lost 27 pounds when he went on a
Twinkie Diet. Instead of eating meals, he ate a Twinkie every three hours. Sound absurd? Definitely. But he was trying to prove the point that it's the number of calories you eat, not necessarily what you eat. Limiting himself to less than 1,800 calories a day, he was able to drop 27 lbs and bring down his body mass index from overweight to normal. All this in ten weeks. Of course, I don't suggest the Twinkie Diet for anyone, but it's a classic case of counting calories and making them count.
The holidays are fast approaching and some of us may dread the extra pounds we'll be donning from endless parties and cocktails. Our wallets may be deflating from gift buying, but don't let that stop you from staying in shape. Here are some cheap and free ways to maintain your health and avoid the holiday bloat.

Ghostface needs a wardrobe makeover. He tramps about in a simple one-piece black hooded Halloween costume, how gauche! Someone call the fashion police. Any potential victim could him coming from a mile away. In order for Ghostface to blend in with the general population, he needs to embrace the style of the times.
Doning a hoodie to hide his natural "Scream" face would be a good place to start. Keep the color of the hoodie black and add a simple pair of black sweat bottoms. It could work. What do you think?
