The quintessential date night is "dinner and a movie," but there's got to be a cheaper way to enjoy this "must" for just about any adult couple. It's hard to go out for an evening without dropping $75 to $100 for a few hours of fun. And that doesn't include the babysitter cost or dragging the kids along (which is not very romantic).
The following tips are not recommended for first dates--you may scare someone off by seeming cheap--but if you are in a long term relationship you'll be instantly raised to "smart, wise and thrifty."

Money Saving Tips
This coming week I will be attending the Bonnaroo music festival. I have written about
festival fashion before, but this post is about what I have learned over many years of music festivals to be the best fashion choices to look great and feel great while there.

Shop Smarter
Well, sorry to break it to you, but you missed opening day. However, you haven't missed much. Time to make those plans, dip into your sick days and get out to the ball park.
I did the leg work for you and here you have a comprehensive list of special saving offers for all thrity major league baseball team's spectator tickets this season. Except for the Red Sox, they all have special deals for families, and students and more.
It pains me that the Sox don't have much in the way of discounts, but with the smallest stadium, and the most loyal fans, they really don't have to work too hard to fill the seats. If you want to save money and you're a Boston fan, it might be cheaper to take the road trip to Pawtucket and see their farm team play. Paw Sox seats start at $7 and only go as high as $11.
