You've heard of Pandora, right? It's the Web-based radio
service that lets you choose your favorite artist or type of music, then builds
a custom station for you around that choice.
For example, just type in "Adele," and Pandora will
create a whole playlist of songs and artists with similar styles. It's
ridiculously cool.
And it's only the tip of the streaming-audio iceberg.
(For the uninitiated, streaming audio means music that's delivered in real-time
over the Internet, as opposed to broadcast over the airwaves like traditional
radio.) With a little know-how, you can access more Internet-radio goodness
than you ever thought possible.

Product Review
If you're an active person and a smartphone owner, I have two products to recommend. First is the
Spibelt, an impossibly comfortable sports belt with a stretchy pouch that can accommodate keys, cash, your phone and other walker/runner/biker essentials.
The second is the
Jabra Sport Bluetooth stereo headset, which lets you listen to music and FM radio and make/take calls while you're exercising--all without wires. (
Well, sort of.) The Sport has a list price of $99.99, but right now you can get it from
Amazon for
$60.99 shipped.

I know so many people who buy big, fancy
HDTVs, then settle for the weak, tinny sound that comes from the built-in speakers. It's a travesty!
If you really want to enjoy your home theater--TV shows,
Blu-ray movies, console games, and so on--you need a nice set of speakers. And to drive those speakers, you'll need a receiver.

Loose Change
I don't know about you, but I hate scalp-burn. You know, when your head gets sunburned? It's worse than being burnt almost anywhere else, especially annoying when you start to peel--and yes there is a point to this gross rant—and it's just awful to have. So I always have to wear a hat when I'm outdoors for long periods of time (
yay, thin hair :(), which totally puts a damper on my music-listening times, because my big 1980s headphones won't fit under my baseball cap.
What is a girl to do? I give you
