What is the average cost to make your own quilt?
I know it varies on material price, but just looking for a general idea for a twin size bed.

I started quilting last winter, and spent about $100 on supplies like a rotary cutter, cutting mat, rulers, and miscellaneous items. This was of course shopping coupons and sales, and I bought the bare minimum of items needed. If you already have these items, then of course making a quilt will cost a lot less. |

The sheets tend to be a much more durable option and you can get them cheaply usually. Also it is tied with yarn so you only need as much yarn as your quilt is big. I think the last tied quilt I made cost under $50 start to finish. |
