What’s a good waterproof digital camera and where can I get a good deal on it?

Doesn't need to be a great camera, but I want to take it snorkeling.

The Canon Powershot D10 12.1 MP looks pretty good, it is around $230. Do you shop at Sam's Club or Cosco. Those might be good places to look as well.

Another way to get this done is to buy the underwater housing for your existing point-and-shoot digital camera. Just google the model of camera you have and "underwater housing" to find out if it's available. Believe it or not, most point-and-shoots have an underwater housing. Plus it will let you use all the features of the camera. Much cheaper than getting an underwater camera.

Depends on how low you want to go. The above mentioned Canon Powershot is good up to 10m(33') but the cheaper Olympus Stylus Tough 6000 (10MP) is only good up to 3m(10'). If you want to go deeper, SeaLife makes cameras for this like the DC800 (8.1MP) which has been tested at depths of 200 ft. or the DC1200 (12MP) tested at same depths. The kicker though is you will spend at least $350 for those. Ikelite and Ewa-Marine make housings for digital cameras, but you are also talking about a couple hundo.
