The Inspiron 15 is a really good laptop, with plenty of power and very affordable (they start around $400). Check out the link to head to Dell, where you can build your own Inspiron 15. I always recommend Dell for people concerned with price, since you can customize the laptop as you go, so you don't have to include any bells or whistles that aren't essential. I have an Inspiron 17 that is about 5 years old and still going strong, and I use that all the time, for movies, Word, Internet, music, photography, etc.
