Usually there will be an input box marked "Coupon code" or "Promotional code" during the checkout process when you're placing an online order. That's where you input the code to have the offer applied to your order.

Yup, exactly as Stella said. And you'll often have to hit something like "Update Price" after you enter the code to make sure your coupon gets factored in. If you just make the payment without accounting for the code, it can get ignored. Make sure you see the updated price in the Cart before you submit payment.
