Re: What's the best smartphone?

What a question! And such a hard one to answer, but here's two of my favorite smartphones:

My personal favorite I think will always be Apple's iPhone 4 (get the 16GB at least). You really can't go wrong...except that you have to currently be on AT&T or Verizon, so you're stuck there. But it's a great phone, has killer free apps, and has all the bells and whistles. Right now, you can get the 16GB model for $199.99 with a contract through Verizon. Not too shabby.

Samsung Galaxy S II is a great phone with a crazy awesome dual core processor and 4G capability (my only major dislike on this is the bad battery life but such is the price you pay for 4G at the moment). I couldn't find any killer deals on this, but you might find some closer to Father's Day.

My partner also has a T-Mobile MyTouch, and the 4G version looks pretty cool. It's a nice phone, pretty affordable, and I'm a big T-Mobile supporter, so you could try that too. The best advice I have is to try them out in-store, because between Android and Apple, there are many differences, some more important than others to people :)

Re: What's the best smartphone?

The best smart phones depends on your wants and needs. If you need to multitask then get an android phone. If you want what everyone else is getting then look at the iPhone. Take a pad, write down what you need the phone to do, then another column of what you want your phone to do - then you can do a search and find the features you are looking for.

Re: What's the best smartphone?

It definitely depends on your needs and what you are comfortable with. Like a Blackberry, for instance, I don't like the tiny keys, but I'm sure it's a great phone.

I have the Sprint HTC EVO 4G and I enjoy it. The battery life is a let down, but I think that is an issue across the board with smartphones. My phone also takes great video, which is important to me, but may not be so important to someone else.

I would write down your top 5 needs of a smartphone and find your perfect match.
