How to save money at Canon this Cyber Monday
The holidays are fast approaching, which means that Cyber Monday 2020 will be here before you know it. As most of Cyber Monday 2020’s deals will be online, you don’t even have to get dressed to enjoy incredible savings. However, you do have to shop early to snag deals before someone else grabs them.

Things may be different this year, but businesses across the nation are stepping up to ensure shoppers can have a safe experience while picking up the year’s best deals. Here’s what you need to know about what Canon has been doing.
Because Canon doesn’t have any retail locations, you don’t have to worry about following COVID-19 safety protocols while shopping during Cyber Monday 2020. The store’s sale will occur entirely online.
There are many retailers that sell Canon products, and some of these stores may be offering these products during their own Cyber Monday sales. While most of these sales will probably occur online (as is tradition for the event), some deals may also be available online. If you’re planning to head out for Cyber Monday, be sure to follow all safety rules to ensure a healthy trip for you and other shoppers.
Many of Canon’s repair facilities are open and serving customers on a first-come, first-served basis. To learn the status of a nearby service center, consult Canon’s online store locator.
If you have equipment that’s in need of repair, start the claim process online. From there, you’ll head to your nearby repair facility to drop off your equipment. A technician will contact you when your item is ready for pickup.
What’s in store for Canon’s Cyber Monday 2020 sale? If it’s anything like years past, it will include huge savings on select equipment.
In 2019, Canon kicked off its Cyber Monday sale on Sunday. The event ran through Cyber Monday, giving shoppers a couple of days to decide what goodies they wanted to pick up.
Unlike stores that offer sweeping discounts across multiple product categories, Canon prefers to offer select items with big savings. In 2019, its cameras were the main attraction, with savings of $10 to $800 across select models.
One of the store’s most popular offerings was an EOS 80D EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Lens Kit for just $899. That was a savings of $350.
Also available was a PowerShot SX540 HS down $80 to $249.99.
If you were looking for something more affordable, you could have picked up an IVY CLIQ+ Instant Camera with a Portable Printer. It was priced at just $129.99, a savings of $30. This would have made a great addition to holiday parties and get-togethers, allowing loved ones to take pics and then instantly print them to share.
If you’re a budding vlogger, you would have appreciated the PowerShot G7 X Mark II VideoCreator Camera Kit that was available last year. It came with the camera, spare battery, memory card and tripod for just $599.99, a savings of $150.
While cameras were some of Canon’s biggest sellers last year, they weren’t the only deals to be had. There were also a few stellar printers available at super-low prices.
The PIXMA TR4520 wireless printer was available for $39.99. Compact but powerful, it was an excellent choice for students and those with home offices. The fact that it was wireless was a nice touch; it let anyone in the house print without having to hook up directly to the printer.
The PIXMA TS6220, another compact wireless printer, was also available for $44.99, a savings of $105.
Canon also offered select specials in its camera lenses and ink and toner departments.
Cyber Monday 2020 means online shopping, which could also mean shipping costs. Will high prices keep you from picking up all that you want?
In 2019, Canon offered its Cyber Monday shoppers free ground shipping with no minimum purchase. We would expect to see the same this year.
However, should Canon decide to forgo free shipping, you don’t have to worry about exorbitant delivery fees. That’s because the most Canon charges for standard shipping is $15.99.
How about Canon’s return policy? What if you’re not happy with something you purchase on Cyber Monday?
Canon is maintaining its 14-day return policy through the pandemic. If you’ve changed your mind and want to make a return, you have 14 days from delivery to ask for an RMA.
Canon doesn’t offer free returns, so keep in mind that you’ll need to pay for your own return shipping. As your purchase may be valuable, it’s a good idea to pay extra to insure your return. This will protect you in the event of loss or damage while the package is en route.
Note that some items are excluded from Canon’s return policy. You can review the complete list at Canon.com.
You may notice that other stores are selling Canon products on Cyber Monday. Where should you shop for the best deal?
Every store will have its own Cyber Monday pricing. If there is a particular product you’re interested in, it might be a good idea to shop around to get the best deal.
Just remember that lots of people are shopping on Cyber Monday, and there’s a good chance of popular products selling out quickly.
As Canon.com is the official store for Canon products, it will most likely have the greatest inventory, and thus, your best shot of snagging the season’s biggest deals.
