That way, you’ll know all about the deals ahead of time.
Make Savings.com your Black Friday 2020 sidekick. You'll find money-saving Express coupons) and the latest news about its Black Friday offerings.
While the COVID-19 pandemic is still very much a concern, businesses are working hard to keep everyone safe.
Express locations are reopening when it’s safe to do so. Updated info about store closures and hours of operation can be found when you use the Express store locator. Note that many malls have not reopened yet. If your local Express is inside one of these malls, it will not reopen until the complex has.
Staff is being trained on health and safety protocols. As you visit stores, you’ll notice increased cleanings, markers to help shoppers maintain distancing and limits to store occupancy.
To help minimize contact, Express is offering contactless payment options. When you check out, you’ll notice that you can pay with tap-to-pay cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
If you’re shopping online, you may notice delays in delivery. Postal services are overburdened by the increase in mail volume and there may be fewer transportation options available. Express is working hard to get your order to you as quickly as possible, but it cautions that there may be delays of two to three days.
Due to the pandemic, Express has slightly modified its return policy. Until December 31st, 2020, the store is accepting returns on in-store purchases for up to 60 days after purchase. For online purchases, you have up to 90 days to make a return. Final sale and clearance merchandise are excluded from this policy.
Express accepts returns by mail, but you’re responsible for shipping costs. It will provide a prepaid label; if you use it, $6.99 will be subtracted from your refund to defray return costs.
We don’t know yet when Express’s Black Friday sale will start or what it will have, but we can look at last year’s start dates and product selection for ideas.
In 2019, Express gave its Express Next members early access to its Black Friday deals. They were released on November 20th and were available through the 25th. VIPs were able to score a 50% discount across the store, plus free shipping.
If you were not a Next member, you could still save, but it was only 30% off.
While we don’t know if Express will bring this early access this year, we think it’s a good idea to be prepared. If you want the opportunity to save more, consider signing up for the Express Next credit card prior to the Black Friday kickoff.
On Thanksgiving Day, Express made its Black Friday discount available to all shoppers, both online and in-store. In addition to 50% off everything, buyers also had their pick of especially low-priced doorbusters.
These doorbusters included $45 faux fur jackets, $35 sherpa sweatshirts, $29 jeans, $50 watches, $99 velvet blazers, and $15 leggings.
As with the preview sale, online shoppers also enjoyed free shipping during the main Black Friday event.
As with almost any store, Express did have a few exclusions to its discounts. As expected, gift cards were not part of the deal. There were also some brands that weren’t participating, such as the NBA and MLB Collection and Express Edition.
Last year’s Black Friday sale ended on Monday, November 30. However, remember that while the store has a set end date, that doesn’t mean that all deals will be available until then. The store’s most popular products are sure to sell out early, so you should head to a store or get online as soon as you can so you don’t miss out.
It’s worth noting that Express also offered 50% off everything in 2017 and 2018. Seeing as this tends to be their go-to discount, we highly anticipate seeing the same again this year.
Planning a big shopping spree at Express? You can get help financing your purchase.
Express has partnered with Klarna to let you buy now and pay later.
If you’d like to take advantage of the service, just choose Klarna financing at checkout. It only takes minutes to apply and be approved.
If you’re approved, your purchase total will be split up into four equal interest-free payments. You’ll make your first payment on the day of your purchase, and then future payments will be automatically charged every two weeks.
Because you’re not assessed any interest charges, Klarna is 100% free to use.
Another exciting Express program you don’t want to miss is its Insider club.
This is the store’s loyalty program—the more you shop, the more you’re rewarded.
It’s free to join, and you’ll earn 10 points for every dollar you spend at the store. Once you reach 2500 points, you’ll earn a coupon for $10 off your next purchase.
If you’re not a member of the Insider club, be sure to join before Black Friday. While membership won’t save you any additional money during your shopping spree, your holiday purchases will net you points that will get you closer to a reward on your next purchase.
You’ll earn points on both in-store and online purchases. Make sure to always provide your member ID while shopping at your favorite locations so you don’t miss out on points. For shopping on the internet, you can connect your Insider rewards info to your online account.
