About Hansen Surf
Hansen Surfboards was founded in 1961 by surfer Don Hansen while he was living on the island of Oahu. Don soon relocated to Southern California and set up shop-making handcrafted surfboards for the local clientele. His designs became sought after worldwide, and in the 1970s, Hansen Surfboards began incorporating clothing and other retail items into its shop. Still the largest surf shop in San Diego County, Hansen Surfboards now has a large online retail site offering some of the world’s best surf gear, apparel, and accessories.
