Sorry to hear that catalogs are to become a thing of the past. I still enjoy having a catalog that I can browse through rather than to go to the computer all the time.

I have to agree with sadshopper about the caalogs. I would use this as a mode of relaxation just to sit with a catalog making a list. Rushing here and rushing there does equate to much time to sit down at a computer...this seems like just another chore like sitting down and doing work on the computer.

What I like about JCPenney is they've followed suit with Target creating clothing lines from designers and now JCPenney offers lines created by designers. Not sure about the quality, but the clothes are really stylish and cute.

I hate to differ with the both of you...at one point I would not shop at Pennys because they reminded me of Sears in their purchasing clothes)..Not any more- J.C. Pennys is a very trendy store lets see their shoe department has all the stylis shoes ay an unheard of price, Where can you go to get beautiful costume jewlery (ie: watches) at an unheard of price... But what really excites me is the Sephora stores that are now inside Pennys ( I can't begin to star about this store everything is better than the other..gotta go to see it)

Oh did I mention to you if you see something to would die for and it isn't in your size....check with the cashiers they will try every way to find it and send it to your home or you cab arrange a store pick-up

I like shopping at JC Penney but seems like they are carrying less and less of Alfred Dunner Petite clothes. Styles in Misses changes but they have the same few clothes they have had out for months.

There were two deals listed for $10 off, one obviously for online shopping since it included free shipping. When I clicked on the other coupon, it took me to the deals page and the online coupon was there, but not the one for the in-store shopping. I'm shopping for shoes and will NOT order those online. Boo!!!!

I activated the coupon - but where is it? As soon as I signed up it dissapeared?

I used to get $10 coupons in the mail and I haven't received one for a long time. My sister-lin-law just bought something at the beauty shop and she has received several of the coupons latey? I always had so much fun with the coupons. Have I done something wrong?

My husband and I have shopped at JC Penney's for years and over the past several years, we have noticed a "Sale" in "Not" a Sale! My husband would purchase his dress shirts and then the next week the dress shirts would go "ON SALE" and the price would be higher than the regular price he paid the week before. We stopped purchasing his shirts w/JC Penney. Infact, we quit being the avid shopper we always were in the past. Years ago, when you went to JC Penney you knew you could find a "Real Deal", not anymore; at least not in the last ten years......

Hi vpsash, I don't see any in-store discounts for this merchant. I do see that we have both a $10 off and a 10% off deal for them, but those are both for online purchases. Since the "new change-over", I hardly shop at JCP anymore. They no longer have any "real deals" if you look at the pricing. I know that a lot of people do not even look at prices. If they like what they are seeing; they buy it. Not me.....pricing is everything. I am goiing back to Macy's where I can actually find a deal. I hate the new "mini" catalogs that are sent out now. They come out often. What a waste of their money. Who needs them. They do not even resemble a catalog. For instance, If I want to buy curtains or area rugs for my home, I do not have a catalog to search for the right one for me. The selection was absolutely great. There was a lot to choose from and I knew exactly what I wanted. I stopped buying anything that I did not have a great selection to choose from. Now I do not shop there.

Iused to enjoy shopping at J. C. Penney's, but not anymore Since they started the "Real Deal" the quality of clothes has dropped. Cheaply made and hard to fine any stylish petite clothes.

I have to say that every time I want a coupon for clothes, I always have to sign up for them. I sign up for coupons but the questions they ask are not really important because they know I have a JCPenney's card.

I used to be a loyal JCP customer-- but that was before CEO Ron Johnson launched his new pricing strategy & overhaul in Feb 2012. "Fair & Square" now means no more coupons to make your own selection for savings -- no weekly ad specials-- fewer store staff because they've had massive layoffs-- and cheaper quality merchandise because they've changed their suppliers. The new fair deal is cheap prices for cheap quality-- I used to be a great fan of JC Penney before this changeover. What a shame-- I haven't been back since.

3rd Friday of the Month means JCPenney has marked down "Clearance" or Best price items. They will stay this price till they are gone. Check it out for some deals.

I hate the staff and the attitude they throw when you shop at the store. They make you think you are shopping on cloud 10. Serioulsy JC Penny has to imporve the attitude to their staff. Espically in the Bellevue Mall. It is the worst service I have experienced and no matter what time of the day you go the service is the same.
