TEAC's new 52X CD-RW drive dramatically raises the bar in CD burning performance and flexibility. Its 52X write and 24X rewrite speeds are the fastest currently available. TEAC's CD-W552E rips audio CDs at 52X speed, reads data at 52X speed and delivers a fast 100msec average access time. Burning CDs is more reliable than ever, thanks to the advanced buffer underrun prevention technology of the CD-W552E drive. As CD burning and digital photography becomes more mainstream, the need for consumers to capture and store music, data, video and photos is rapidly growing, increasing the demand for faster drive speeds. Creating customized audio, data and video CDs is easy with TEAC's 52X CD-RW drives. It records up to 700MB of data or 80 minutes of music (depending on the type of disc used). It,s the ideal solution for first-time users and experienced computer enthusiasts alike. Available in two basic configurations, the CD-W552E is designed for both integration and upgrades. The bare drive is available with either a white or black bezel. The retail kit includes Roxio's Easy CD Creator 5 for audio and data recording, MusicMatch Jukebox for MP3 ripping and burning and PhotoImpression for digital image editing. This retail kit is compatible with Windows XP/98SE/Me/2000.
